Questions applicants ask
Can I register if my degree is not in administration?
Yes. A Bachelor's degree or HND in any discipline from an institution recognised by NUC or NBTE qualifies you, as does an equivalent professional qualification. Without exemptions you start at Fundamentals of Administration.
How long will it take me?
The full programme takes 9 months. Exemptions can reduce it to as little as 3 months. Graduates of Business Administration or Public Administration can complete it in 3 to 6 months.
When and where are the lectures?
Every Saturday from 8:00am to 3:30pm at City Primary School, along Wetheral Road, by Fire Service Station, Owerri, Imo State.
I cannot attend on Saturdays. Can I still study?
Distance learning is available with easy-to-follow study packs and a personal tutor. Call the coordinator to arrange it.
Does ACIA count for promotion in the civil service?
The National Council on Establishments approves ACIA as a prerequisite professional qualification for progression from SGL 13 to SGL 14 in the Service. The Federal Ministry of Education also recognises and grades it as a senior course for employment across all sectors.
How much does it cost?
Fees cover the school's registration form, tuition per level and examination or exemption fees, plus the Institute's application and registration fee and the professional membership induction fee. Call Adm Dr. James Jinga on 0803 710 7700 to confirm current amounts before paying.
What will I receive when I finish?
The Chartered Administrators Professional Examination Certificate, Chartered Associate professional membership (ACIA), and the Chartered Administrators Practising License for self-employment and consultancy.
